Canadian Institute of Chartered Accountants (CICA)

The CICA is the governing body for all Chartered Accountants. They conduct research into current business issues and set accounting, auditing and assurance standards for business, not-for-profit organizations and government. The CICA also provides guidance on control and governance, publishes professional literature, develops continuing education programs that enhance the skills and knowledge of its members.

Alliance for Excellence in Investigative and Forensic Accounting

The Alliance for Excellence in Investigative and Forensic Accounting was established in 1998, responding to the need for a new category of chartered accountant trained in the investigative and forensic accounting. The Alliance operates under the auspices of the CICA and focuses on formalized dispute resolution and "white collar crime".

Certified Management Accountants of Ontario (CMA)

CMA Ontario is an integral part of the national organization CMA Canada. This professional organization is a self-governing body that awards the Certified Management Accountant designation to qualified candidates in the province of Ontario. The Ontario chapter, as part of the larger body, also sets the standards of professional excellence, ethics and conduct adhered to by all members.

Association of Certified Forensic Investigators of Canada (ACFI)

The ACFI is the Canadian governing and accrediting organization for specialists engaged in fraud detection, prevention and investigation. The CFI community is comprised of law enforcement individuals, forensic and investigative accountants, law, auditing and other service practitioners.

Association of Certified Fraud Examiners (ACFE)

The ACFE is the world's premier provider of anti-fraud training and education. A leader in the global anti-fraud community, ACFE has over 33,000 members, sponsors more than 100 chapters worldwide and provides anti-fraud educational materials to over 100 universities. Certified Fraud Examiners (CFEs) on six continents have investigated more than 1 million suspected cases of civil and criminal fraud.
