Upon completing his engineering degree in 1984, Mr. Rothman immediately plunged into the rapidly emerging world of computers where he has remained for over 20 years as a Forensic Engineer on high tech equipment, systems and software. His strong ties to this discipline inevitably led him to computer forensics in 1997, the newest frontier in the digital revolution.
As a pioneer in computer forensics, Mr. Rothman gained valuable U.S. experience, working at FTI Consulting Inc., a Fortune 500 consultancy as manager of the computer forensics and electronic discovery practice. Upon his return to Canada, Mr. Rothman assumed the role of Director of e-Litigation Services for H&A Computer Forensics Inc.
His list of engagements includes Enron, K-Mart, First Plus Financial, Merck and the tobacco industry. He is a recognized expert in Computer Forensics and Electronic Discovery, who has presented expert testimony in many cases, and was most recently appointed as the Digital Evidence Inspector for the Air Canada and WestJet litigation by the Superior Court of Ontario.
